I've finally bit the bullet and started teaching myself UE5 and Niagara. That in combination with me listening through the LoTR atm led me to make this effect!
It's honestly been more frustrating than I first anticipated. Whenever I run into an issue in Unity I can almost always google myself around to find solutions and workarounds but with UE whenever I google it's really hard. Might be because UE5 is so new still, but I had to brute force and just try all the knobs and buttons to get this to work, but I finally did!:D Also there are some quality of life features missing such as the ability to remove a node that's inbetween two other ones with ease. It works in Blueprint by doing Shift + Backspace but it doesn't work in material editor? Weird. To this day my favorite nodebased editor is Amplify. It's so easy to make quick adjustments and organize.
(Also does someone know how to remove the flickering in the Niagara preview? It only occurs in lit mode but doesn't in unlit)
